At least two cars have been totally crushed after a container fell abruptly around Tin Can Island port in Apapa, Lagos, on Saturday.
Reports are still being compiled on the incident, but a twitter user, Toba Samuel, who witnessed the scene and published several photos of the wreckage confirmed Sunday morning that no lives were lost .
The Apapa road is notorious due to its dismal state and heavy-duty vehicles which are constantly scattered around the ports area causing extreme gridlocks and lethal accidents, despite repeated assurances from both the Federal and Lagos state governments to turn things around.
The new Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has also given assurances to fix the Apapa problem within a period of 60 days of his resumption of office. He was sworn in May 29, 2019.
